We are excited to share Montgomery County's first fiscal map report on early care and education (ECE) investments. A fiscal map analysis answers a fundamental question: Who invests, how much, and in what? This report represents a year’s worth of research, analysis, partner collaboration, and conversations with stakeholders, and we are proud to share it with our broader audience.

We were proud to host interns through Summer RISE, an opportunity for rising MCPS juniors and seniors to participate in hands-on learning opportunities related to their field of interest.
Child care is scarce in MoCo and Maryland — and the pandemic made matters worse
Many areas of our county and the state have deserts for infant and toddler care. Therefore, it is critical that we monitor the supply of all our seats from birth to pre-K, or else the expansion of pre-K will further exacerbate infant and toddler (child care) shortages.
